What's happening?
Identified within Council's Walking and Cycling Strategy, Council is planning to construct a new walking track in Pennant Hills Park as part of the Pennant Hills Park Masterplan works.
Currently, there are existing walking tracks and fire trails in this area including the well-known Mambarra Track. Combining a formalised 800m length track between the existing Mambarra Track and the Archery Range will create new bush walking opportunities, aid in bushland management and maintenance activities, and completes a link which creates a 2.7km long "Whale Rock" circuit walk.
Council anticipates the walking track will not create a significant increase in road use or vehicle parking, the track upgrade is directed to facilitate access to bushwalking track opportunities and experiences for the benefit of the local community.
Please see the attached plan of the proposal.
If you wish to provide comments on this plan, please title your submission ‘Pennant Hills Park Walking Track – Reference Number F2021/00256’ and forward to Council.
