Council is proposing to install a full time marked pedestrian crossing at the existing ‘Children’s Crossing’ in School Road. This upgrade will improve drivers’ awareness of the crossing and improve safety of pedestrians.

Key features of the proposal are:

• Installation of painted ‘Zebra’ marked crossing lines and pedestrian crossing signs.
• Extension of the ‘No Stopping’ Zone on the approach to the crossing in School Road, to 20 metres.

Next Steps

Council invites your comments on the proposal by close of business Friday 15 December 2023. The results of the consultation will be referred to the Hornsby Local Traffic Committee for consideration and recommendation to Council.
