The Hawkesbury-Nepean River Coastal Management Program (CMP) steering committee would like to hear from the community about key issues and concerns impacting our beautiful river and to obtain ideas on how best to manage them. One of the ways that you can provide your insight is to use this Interactive Map and categorised marker pins provided to comment on:

  1. Coastal Hazards, i.e. Coastal and Estuarine Hazards
  2. Urbanisation, i.e. Urbanisation and Land Use Impacts
  3. Resource Conflict, i.e. Waterway Use and Resource Conflict
  4. Public Health, i.e. Public Health and Safety
  5. Governance Issues, i.e. Planning and Governance Issues
  6. Climate Change, i.e. Climate Change Impacts

These 6 broad threat categories were identified by the project team during the Stage 1 Scoping Study released in April 2020. Image to the right identifies what issues fall under each threat category, alternatively, we have developed individual factsheets about each threat category that can also be viewed in the document library to the right.
