• Update

The new pedestrian pathway lights were installed at Greenway Park in June/July 2023.

The Proposal

Council is proposing to install pedestrian lighting along the currently unlit 300m long section of the Greenway Park pedestrian circuit path at the northern end of the park. This section of pathway is currently the only unlit section of the pedestrian circuit path.

The proposed lighting will be on the same timing as the existing pedestrian pathway lights. At present, the lighting turns on when the lights detect a certain level of darkness.

Council’s lighting design consultant has ensured that the lights are designed to comply with the requirements of the Australian Standard for pedestrian safety, for obtrusive lighting and to minimise light spill to adjacent properties.

Council has prepared a Location Plan for the proposed pathway lights, and a detailed design showing proposed fixtures and lighting levels – see Document Library

Following approval, works are expected to take 4 weeks and be completed by the middle of 2023.
