    On 9 August 2023 Council approved the classification of 45 Jersey Street, Hornsby as “Operational Land”.

    The land is vacant and will be consolidated with adjoining properties owned by Council for a future development project.

What's happening

In accordance with Section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council gives notice of a proposed resolution to classify Lot 1 DP 105284 being 45 Jersey Street, Hornsby as “Operational Land”.

This property was offered for sale by the owners and the purchase was completed on Friday, 23 June 2023. Council had already acquired adjoining properties at 43 Jersey Street, Hornsby and 302-308 Peats Ferry Road, Hornsby.

The acquisition of this vacant land will increase current options for a possible traffic link between Peats Ferry Road and Jersey Street as well as the future development potential of the consolidated residue land holdings.
