Hornsby Shire Council is seeking community input on proposed renewal works at Charles Curtis Park, Pine Street, Normanhurst.

Key features of the plan include:

• Playground upgrade with new covered central play unit with two slides and monkey bars
• Double bay swing set with toddler and sling seats in more shaded area
• See-saw and nature play steppers
• Multi person spinner
• Large picnic shelter
• Softfall mulch and wet pour rubber surfacing to playground
• Picnic setting and seating opportunities outside of playground area
• Basket ball hoop in more shaded area
• Central lawn area
• New concrete pathways
• More tree plantings to enhance natural shade provision and equipment moved closer to natural shade
• Improved access to park with footpath added to Pine Street frontage
• 1.2m high fencing to playground
• Retain and protect existing trees
