What's Happening?
Council is proposing parking restrictions on Station Street in Hornsby.
The aim is to improve the use of this high demand area and enhance pick-up and drop-off opportunities near Hornsby Train Station.
The Proposal
- Accessible Parking Space - convert the existing full-time "Accessible Parking Space" (11 metres) to
Accessible Parking Space with a four-hour parking limit (4P).
2. Mail Zone - change the current full-time "Mail Zone" (7.7 metres) to operate part-time from 4:00pm
to 6:30pm, with “No Parking” at all other times.
3. Standardise the remaining parking area (96.6 metres) to:
- ½P”, 9:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 12:30pm, Saturday
- No Parking, 6:00am - 9:00am and 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Additionally, install signs stating "Kiss and Ride - Drop-off and Pick-up Here” within this zone
4. Business Loading Access - The designated “No Parking" areas on Station Street will remain available
for business vehicles to conduct active loading and unloading, in accordance with the NSW road
rules.

Why?
Council has undertaken a review of the parking space use, and compliance with parking restrictions. The assessment concluded that changes to parking restrictions would improve current operations.

The results of the consultation will be referred to the Hornsby Local Traffic Committee for consideration and recommendation to Council.
