What's Happening?
Council is proposing to resurface the remaining gravel section of Singleton Rd, Mount Colah, including repairs to three embankment sections.
The works will include the following:
- The repair of three areas of embankment damage approximately 100 meters north of the existing bridge at 1457 Singleton Road.
- the resurfacing of the road for the 2.4 km gravel section to the end of the existing road.
Why?
The aim of the works is to improve road safety and overall road conditions while reducing long-term maintenance costs.
These works are listed in Councils Delivery Program 2025.2026
When?
Construction is scheduled to commence in April 2026 with road resealing to follow once the repairs are complete.
Temporary Disruption
Please note the proposed works are expected to cause some temporary disruption and inconvenience, mainly from construction noise, storage of construction materials and sheds in the road reserve, as well as the possibility of partial short term loss of access to parts of your property during the works.
These requirements are critical to the success of the project however you will be kept informed, and workmen will endeavour to minimise disruption and accommodate as much as possible any site specific access needs you may have.
