What's Happening?

Council is writing to you about a proposal to install parking restrictions in Rosemead Road near Blue Gum Community School. Council wants to get the balance right and would like your feedback.

Need for the Proposal

Council has received a request from Blue Gum Community School to provide parking restrictions in Rosemead Road to accommodate the school drop-off and pick-up.

The Proposal

Following an initial meeting with Blue Gum Community School, Council is proposing to implement the following parking restrictions in Rosemead Road:

  1. Install ‘P15 Minutes’ signs on the eastern side of Rosemead Road between the school’s driveways, (restricted to between 8:00am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4:00pm, School Days) 30m long.
  2. Install ‘No Parking’ signs, on the eastern side of Rosemead Road near the school’s exit-only driveway, (restricted to between 8:00am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4:00pm, School Days) 18m long.
  3. Existing “No Stopping”, “No Right Turn”, “All Traffic Left” signs to remain in place unchanged.

Note: ‘No Parking’ rules:

You can stop for less than 2 minutes if you stay within 3m of your vehicle if you're: dropping off or picking up passengers.

Next Steps

Council invites your comments on the proposal by close of business Thursday 19 December 2024. The results of the consultation will be referred to the Hornsby Local Traffic Committee for consideration and recommendation to Council.
