Background
Council is proposing to extend the off-leash dog park at Rofe Park, Hornsby Heights. These works are in accordance with the Hornsby Off-Leash Dog Park Strategy (2021) which identifies Rofe Park as an expansion site.
Hornsby Off-Leash Dog Pak Strategy (2021)
The aim of the project is to provide new opportunities for dogs to run off-leash in a contained area.
Proposed works include:
- Adjustments to the existing fence to create two separate spaces including a new area for small dogs.
- Additional fencing to the north of the existing dog park to extend the available space.
- Installation of new park furniture.
- Installation of new drinking fountains with dog bowls attached.
- Weed removal.
- Tree planting for shade.
Council has prepared a Draft Concept Plan for the project which is available to view in the Document Library.
