What's Happening?
Council is proposing to install a graduated trash rack in the stormwater channel near Woodgrove Avenue in Cherrybrook. The trash rack will capture litter, debris and vegetation during rain events, helping to keep the waterway cleaner.
Why?
The proposed works will improve water quality of Pyres Creek by capturing litter sediment and vegetative debris.
When?
The design of this project is listed in Council’s current 2025/2026 Capital Projects, under the Waterway Improvements (Catchment Remediation Rate) Program, and construction is anticipated to start during this financial year subject to funding and obtaining all necessary approvals.
Temporary Disruption
Please note the proposed works will cause some temporary disruption and inconvenience, mainly from construction noise, storage of construction materials and sheds in the road reserve. Traffic control measures will be provided to ensure minimal disruption to the traffic.
We ask that each Property Owner(s) or Owners Corporation (Strata Management) ensure that all occupants are informed of this work.
