The Strategy will inform Council’s key objectives for nature-based recreation which are:

We’d love to hear your thoughts—whether it’s something you don’t like, an experience that could be improved, or something you really enjoy. Please let us know and ‘drop a pin’!
Please see the '?' icon on the top left-hand side of the map for further instructions.
Map Notes
Please be aware that the base map used is a Google map. Hence, Council has no control over the detail, extent and accuracy of the base map. The tracks and trails (e.g., fire trials) shown in bushland areas include those that are formal, informal and unsanctioned. Also note that the vegetation shown in green groups together private and public land, parks, reserves and bushland.
To help identify who is responsible for managing different natural areas in Hornsby Shire we’ve included two layers that you can switch on and off:
1) Hornsby Council Managed Bushland (includes bushland Council owns and manages, e.g., on behalf of Crown Lands)
2) National Parks (includes Berowra Valley, Lane Cove, Marramarra, Ku-ring-gai Chase and Muogamarra Nature reserve)
