What We Heard

  • No overdue Fees

In response to community feedback, Council removed overdue fees from Hornsby Shire Libraries. The change, implemented on 1 July, ensures greater equity of access and encourages the return and continued use of library services.

  • Other Improvements

    • The eNewsletter can now be subscribed by anyone, via the library website.
    • The library has been actively promoting our App which can be used in lieu of your library card.
    • Our cake tins collection is now available for all ages.
    • More programs for youth and young people.

Responding to your feedback

  • Larger Range of Books

    With easier access

We have separated the graphic novels and are reviewing the titles in our Rapid Reads collection. We are also looking at our signage, making it easier to find the books you are interested in.

  • More Quiet Study Spaces

We have updated the study spaces at Berowra Library, increased the number of tables and chairs at Hornsby Library and introduced a Quiet Pod at Pennant Hills Library.

  • Longer Hours of Opening

Many of you asked us to open longer. In response, we are currently looking at our hours of operation.

  • Improved Wifi

We are testing the speed in all parts of the library and looking to improve this service.
