The Department of Planning and Environment exhibited changes to translate existing Business and Industrial zones into new Employment zones across all local government areas in NSW.

The existing Business (B) and Industrial (IN) zones will be replaced with five new employment zones and three supporting zones under Standard Instrument (Local Environmental Plans) Order 2006 (SI LEP Order).

The change is being initiated and exhibited by the State Government, however Council publicised the exhibition as the reforms will have direct implications for existing Business and Industrial zones in the Hornsby Local Environmental Plan 2013.
