• Update

Council is reviewing the feedback received and updating the project as required, the proposal will be referred to the Hornsby Local Traffic Committee for consideration later this year.

What's happening

Council is proposing to install a marked pedestrian crossing at the existing pedestrian kerb blisters and footpath ramps in Bellevue Street near Wood Street. This upgrade will give pedestrians the priority over vehicles when crossing the road at this location. Key features of the proposal are:
  • Installation of painted ‘Zebra’ marked crossing lines and pedestrian crossing signs.
  • Existing kerb blisters and kerb ramps will remain unchanged.
  • Existing parking restrictions will remain unchanged.

A plan of the proposal can be found in the document library.
