What's Happening?

Hornsby Shire Council is excited to be locking in plans to expand the park’s play area. This includes the replacement of old equipment with a boating adventure theme in honor of Captain Edward Robert Amor the namesake of the park.

Our exciting new draft Concept Plan for Amor Street Park, Asquith proposes the following items:

  • A local scale playground* upgrade with landscape theme providing information about Captain Edward Robert Amor after whom the Amor Park Street is named.
  • Removal of the existing play equipment, and expansion of the playground.
  • Play area with accessible concrete path ramps and levels.
  • Seating opportunities including new picnic setting and park shelter and sandstone logs for informal seating.
  • Tree planting for shade.

*For further information on what we can include in a 'local scale playground' please see page 92-93 in the Local Hornsby Shire Council's Play Plan.
